Nearshore (Ocean) Fishing Charter

A great way to experience ocean fishing in Charleston.

Nearshore fishing is typically conducted between 0-30 nautical miles from shore in the ocean.  This is the area where we will fish our Nearshore (Ocean) Fishing Charter.  This type of fishing typically involves sight fishing for species at low speeds with artificial lures or bait.  Imagine a school of fish in the hundreds right next to the boat in clear water!  Another method is dropping to the bottom for species such as sheepshead, seabass, triggerfish, grouper, snapper, flounder and other "bottom fish."  Both methods are exciting in their own way wether it be a large fighting fish on the surface or numerous bites in a frenzy on the bottom.

NOTE:  The gulf stream and most trolling areas are 60 miles offshore in Charleston.  If you would like to go out on a large fishing vessel and fish these waters you will want a 12 hour day.
