A great way to experience ocean fishing in Charleston. Trips Starting at $550
This is for the angler that wants an ocean fishing experience, big fish and great action! We typically encounter seasonal species such as large sharks, amberjacks, cobia, sheepshead, spadefish, seabass, mackerel and more. During certain times of the year the action can be incredible and you will come back with some sore arms from fighting fish! NOTE: Many species are overfished or protected during certain times of the year for spawning but there are sustainable species available to catch and keep for dinner. Catch and Release is encouraged and sometimes mandatory for some species due to federal regulations. Federal permits and fishing licenses are included on all Avid Angling Fishing Charters.
Charleston has a lot to offer! Catch Redfish, Sharks, Black Drum, Trout, Sheepshead, Flounder and more! Starting at $400
Inshore fishing is excellent year round! This is a great way to enjoy the waterways of Charleston and get on the fish. Since travel distances aren't as far the majority of your time will be actively fishing. AND you don't have to worry about seasickness on this type of trip! You will be fishing on custom shallow water flats boats designed for local inshore fishing although a fully equipped center console bay boat is available for rough water conditions and certain seasons. All Licenses are included while you are on our boats.
Summer sunsets are too good to miss! For couples or small groups of 3 we take a skiff through the intricate creeks along the marshes and bays. For larger groups up to 6 we offer a larger bay boat with padded seating in the bow area for the best views. View pristine beaches or enjoy a cocktail with friends or loved ones. Since you are on the east coast and the sun sets in the west you will see the best sunsets from the water!
If you have young children that may not be able to last 4 or more hours on the boat then this is a perfect trip. This can also be a good option for solo or budget anglers that just want to get on the water and catch a quick fish. Starting at $250

One or two anglers (taking turns) is recommended for this type of trip. We will be on a streamlined skiff with no snags with a forward casting platform so you can see the fish eat the fly! Avid Angling uses hand tied flies by capt. Mike or local fly shops to offer unique patterns.
